YES! Sing it Nicki!! If I can live in these moments for life I will. For years, I lived according to how I thought I was supposed to, did what others expected of me, checked off all the boxes of life, and then I woke up! Saw there was so much more to life than what I was living. And now these are the moments of my life – the moments I treasure and build upon.
Gone are the days of trying to please those that don’t matter or working to obtain something I don’t desire. My Fairy Godmother came with her magical wand and whisked those away forever. My life is now all about me and what I want and value most. Not because I am selfish but because for the first time in my life, I love myself. I stopped living for others and started living for who matters most – Me!
I feel unstoppable. There’s nothing I fear. I expect the unexpected. I believe with full confidence that anything is possible. And I see the unimaginable taking shape into my reality. I love my life. There is nothing I would want to change.
I feel powerful. I know I create my reality. I know I attract the people into my life that are meant to be there and the circumstances I am meant to experience. I write the rules. I choose to surround myself with all things positive and slam the door on all things negative. I am in charge of my feelings and reactions. The world is my stage, and I am not an actress – I am the director.
When you shut out the haters and live life according to your plan, the doors that open and the opportunities that present themselves will quite literally make your head spin. Opening yourself up to what is meant for you instead of forcing or blocking all the good is how we are intended to live and we get there moment by moment.
Someone recently asked me, How is life? My response, Better than ever. I guess it took saying it out loud to realize, Damn – I am truly happy! I am no longer forcing a smile or fighting back the tears. I believe I am living my life with purpose. The moments come and go, some big, some small, some I recognize immediately and others not at all, but each matters. Each time, I can tell it’s time. There’s an internal shift and I come more alive. These moments have always been there, but the difference is now they are no longer just a fleeting moment, but here to stay. This is what it means to be alive.
No one else gets to live this life but me. What a concept – What a gift! It’s not lost on me how blessed I am to be living a life I love. But I still ask the question – what’s next? It’s hard to believe it gets better than this. But the truth is – it does! And I’m excited for whatever “it” may be and whenever “it” may come. But, in the meantime, I will enjoy these moments for life.
