Start TODAY

Stop putting off for tomorrow, what can be done TODAY. One last dessert, then my diet begins tomorrow. Just one more day of being lazy, then I promise to get on the treadmill first thing tomorrow morning. Monday will be my fresh start! How many times have you said any of the above? Ugh!

Why not start TODAY? Why not start right now? Why not save your body those “one last” dessert calories and wake up tomorrow knowing you already started. You took the first step by making a smart decision to skip the dessert. Or why not go get on that treadmill now? Set the pace to a walk you’re comfortable with and put one foot in front of the other and get going now. And how many Mondays have come and gone? Will waiting for one more really be the one that makes a difference? Likely not.

Don’t wait for tomorrow or for Monday to come. Tomorrow is already here anyways. Don’t make your body work even harder to get rid of those “one last” dessert calories. Don’t lay on the couch watching one more Hallmark Christmas movie (Spoiler Alert…They all have a happy ending). Don’t let another weekend come and go. If you want to do it, then do it. Start TODAY! Start right now.

It’s all about making smart, daily choices to pave the way to success. It’s not about sweating it out for hours in the gym or living off protein shakes and dark, leafy greens. Sure, those are important and must be apart of it, but it’s about living an active lifestyle, making smart, daily choices and finding balance. Everything is good in moderation. But first, you need to commit to getting started. Stop putting off what you can do TODAY.

There is no secret formula or a magic pill or potion that’s going to do it for you. If you want to see change then you must put in the work. You must commit to the process. The equation is quite simple. Calories in must be less than calories out. This translates to eating and drinking less daily than you burn.

Need an extra boost to get started TODAY? How about, your appearance directly correlates to how you feel. The better you look – the better you feel! So, if you are unhappy with how you look, then do something to about it. Even the slightest improvement in an area of your appearance that you wish to see a change can give you an instant boost.

According to academics at St. Andrews University, eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly can do more to make you look good than cosmetic surgery or make-up. Working out regularly helps to tone the skin and improves blood circulation and oxygenation to the skin, giving you that healthy glow we all seek. Exercise is also a great deterrent of wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin. It supports the production of collagen. And who doesn’t want more collagen in their daily routine? But exercise is not the only thing that impacts how you look. What you put in your body, your diet, matters most. The food you eat supplies your cells with the ingredients needed for repair and regeneration. Bad food gives you poor results whereas good food brings out your inner beauty. When you eat like crap, you feel like crap – is a real thing!

Take those first steps of your journey TODAY. Start that diet and begin your fitness routine. And soon, you’ll be seeing results and feeling good about yourself. You’ll soon see the changes you want to see, and you’ll be happier in the process. Remember…in two weeks, you’ll feel it. In four weeks, you’ll see it. And in eight weeks, you’ll hear it.

If none of the above motivates you to start TODAY, know that bikinis will be in stores near you in less than two weeks…enough said! Now, put down that Christmas cookie and go hit the gym (yes, you’re starting TODAY, a random Thursday). 😊
